Hopeful and inspiring novel Amazing book! Elizabeth does an excellent job of making you feel part of the story. She skillfully brings the reader along on her search for meaning and an authentic relationship with God. The journey she takes the reader on is one many of us have traveled but have not always emerged so beautifully. Her growth in faith is very hopeful and inspiring. The human spirit's amazing ability to survive severe abuse Many forms of childhood abuse are openly spoken and written about in our culture. However, until reading this book, I’d not come across sibling abuse written about in such painful and revealing detail. It alerts readers to the severe injury that can come to innocent children when their parents disengage and do not intervene in the horror going on within their own families. Elizabeth initially searched for relief and understanding through cults and crystals, only to be further hurt and manipulated. Eventually, she finds her spiritual grounding, enabling her to heal and write this book—an amazing accomplishment given the depth of pain she’s endured. She offers hope to those who’ve gone through similar experiences and a possible pathway to recovery and knowledge to those of us who’ve been spared about the breadth of child abuse. My best read of 2026 so far I must say I am not a big reader, I had this book recommended to me. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. It is so captivating as you read it, it makes you feel like you're going to miss out on something if you stop reading. It is impossible to read it and not become immersed in the life of the main character.A journey of so much trauma, rejection, and vulnerability to finally finding someone that loves her so unconditionally.... but comes so close to loosing the love of her life due to a traumatic health threat. This book should be flying off the shelf for everyone that wants to know the awesome power of God. The author takes you on a spiritual journey.
